Wasabi Mayo – Recipe Yield 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoon wasabi powder
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 roasted garlic clove – minced

Directions

  • 1. In a small bowl, mix wasabi powder and water to form a paste.
  • Let sit for 1 minute, and then add mayonnaise, lemon juice, & garlic
  • Refrigerate until needed

Pan Seared Ahi Tuna Steak

Directions

  • Sprinkle Ahi Steak with ground allspice and sesame seeds
  • Heat up 3 tablespoons toasted sesame oil for 1 minute prior to searing. Carefully place Ahi steak in hot oil and sear – 1-2 minutes on each side. Serving Rare is ideal
  • Remove from pan and slice thinly against the grain of the fish
  • Shingle Ahi on serving plate and stripe with Wasabi Mayo (or serve on the side)
